BACK TO NATURE: HIKE AROUND THE KINGDOM OF GOLDHORN
Did you know that the Julian Alps were named after Julius Cesar? Today you can traverse these mountains on a circular hiking trail 267 km (186 miles) through some incredibly beautiful regions–not as an ascension, but as a convenient hike along the ridgeline of the Julian Alps and Triglav National Park.
The Alps are also known as the Kingdom of Zlatorog. This old world Alpine ibex (Goldhorn) had gleaming gold horns that were the key to hidden treasure in the mountains of Triglav. If you want to hear the whole story, come and see where this mythology happened!
The trail traverses alpine valleys and mountain passes, then meanders along two beautiful rivers: Soča and Sava. The total length is divided into 20 hikes. Total elevation gain is 7.163 m (23.500 ft). The estimated time to complete the entire trail is 102 hours.

The first, second, and the fourth part are flatter and easier to hike. The third and fifth part is more demanding, and it requires you to be in good physical condition.
